Originally tracked in 2007, Swamp Goat laid dormant while writing material for HULL's debut full length, Sole Lord. After a rigorous touring schedule, then the follow up to Sole Lord, the sophomore effort Beyond The Lightless Sky in 2011, Swamp Goat got lost in the caves and forgotten... until now.
lyrics
We stretch our minds back down through time,
into lost days of beast and bayou.
A dead stench that hunts the weak
spills from the labyrinth's walls
and it spreads for miles and miles.
And it's so god damned hot
‘cause the bloods been blessed from below.
Behold!!! His rage ignites
Beneath the delicate grasps of good men.
And it begins to betray them…
With their ears low to the mire, those eyes!
Longing for those eyes lit with fire.
Devouring plague of hell
You’ve brought to your home
Will bring you to your tomb.
His branding, the mark of the devil!
He’s twisting our mouths.
He’s breaking our vows.
Infecting our tongues, while crying over the town.
Sleep as the twilight arrives.
His curse (evading the light) is your home tonight.
Your fears and then in turn your words are what poison you today.
You created something beautiful and then you took that thing away.
His soul descends into fire.
And we’re gonna keep on taking it.
And I’m not even sure that we could ever get enough of it,
But I wanna see those beautiful shores glimmering white with bone.
